Apple Crisp in a Mug in Minutes

Sometimes you just need a quick sweet treat.  And this recipe for apple crisp in a mug is just the thing to make for a quick dessert or snack.  I found this recipe in the new Gooseberry Patch Cookbook "Mom Knows Best,"  With a few simple ingredients, a mug and your microwave you will be all set to enjoy this delicious twist on an old favorite.
And this is an easy recipe that kids could help make in the kitchen as well.
Ingredients:
2 apples, peeled, cored and diced
1 T. sugar
2 T. Brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 package of instant oatmeal
2 T. butter
2 T. Flour
Instructions:
1. Spray a large microwave safe mug with non stick cooking spray.
2. Add apple slices.
3. Sprinkle with sugar.
4. In a small bowl mix oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, butter and cinnamon with a pastry blender until crumbly.
5. Add to mug.
6. Microwave at high 5 - 6 minutes.
Optional: Top with ice cream.
Serves 1
