Easter Basket Ideas for Toddlers & Baby

Easter is just around the corner and with help from Meijer I've got some great ideas for Easter basket goodies for your wee little ones.  I know chocolates and candies are items for older kids Easter baskets, but that sometimes leaves us at a loss for what to get for younger kids who aren't eating those sweet treats just yet.

I enjoy shopping at Meijer for groceries and love their mPerks online coupons.  I always know I am saving money every time I shop there.  And with Easter coming up American Greetings is offering a special, "Buy 3 cards get a free plush Easter bunny." That's right I said FREE. I'm guessing you are probably going to be sending some Easter cards this year, so why not get rewarded by shopping for them at Meijer and getting a little something extra. And to help you celebrate Easter Meijer is giving away 2 of these plush Easter bunnys to one lucky reader on my blog.  Simply click on the Rafflecopter widget at the bottom of this blog post to enter.

Our shOTT of Espresso will be 6 months old at Easter time this year and for his basket I've got baby finger snack foods like those from Gerber.  I also have a small board book with touch and feel items on each page to develop his sensory skills, and a teething ring that you could put small pieces of soft fruits or veggies into for him to naw on and start using those teeth.  And lastly, what Easter basket would be complete without a stuffed animal?!?!

Other ideas for infants would be teething rings, bibs, hats, socks, small rattles and pacifiers.
Now on to basket ideas for my toddler... machiOTTo is almost 3 and if you spend more than 5 minutes around her you will learn that she loves arts & crafts and has caught Frozen Fever.  She is completely obsessed with everything from the Disney movie Frozen, and wants to color, paint and glue things all day long. So in her Easter basket there is an Olaf stamp, Disney stickers, and Crayola Color Wonder paints.  (These paints only work on special paper which makes me happy as a mom that I don't have to worry about her making a mess.)  There is also a Frozen toy microphone which lights up and plays the hit song "Let it Go."  And, a new set of sippy cups because we always need some more of those. Lastly, the stuffed rabbit that I mentioned above with the American Greeting cards purchase.

Other ideas for a toddlers Easter basket would be books, music cds, small toys, flash cards, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, sunglasses and hats.

And lastly for my big kid (Ott, E) there is his favorite... Reese's Peanut Butter in the egg shape.  I know this will keep him happy.
And now for the giveaway.  To help you get started with your Easter basket shopping Meijer is giving away 2 plush Easter bunnys to one reader on my blog.  (One white and one gray just like the one pictured below.)  Simply click on the rafflecopter widget below for your chance to enter.  Contest runs 3/29/15 through 3/31/25.  Winner must be a US resident and will contacted via e-mail.  Winner will have 48 hours to claim their prize or risk forfeit.  Best of Luck and Happy Easter!

Those are some good looking baskets! Both my boys are getting a small toy, a book, snacks, bubbles, a matching outfit (because really how much longer can I get away with that?), and underwear for my big boy and socks for my little.

Hi, I know this is an old post, but I am searching for this same 2015 american greetings bunny in this post. My daughter received one that year for her first birthday and has been inseparable with it ever since and it has started to fall apart. I know it is a long shot but wondering if anyone has the same bunny that is in good condition or never used. Thank you!
