Darrin's Coffee Co.

My latest search for locally roasted coffee took me to the cobblestone streets of Zionsville, Indiana to Darrin's Coffee Company.  Nestled in among the quaint shops of the city sits a little coffee shop with some fun and flavorful specialty coffee drinks and a variety of fresh roasted coffee beans.  A cozy spot to grab a cup of java or even hear a live concert on a Friday night.
The owner of Darrin's Coffee shop started roasting beans in his kitchen back in 2009, then two years ago opened this shop and since then has been daily serving up fresh coffee.  Darrin's offers light, medium and dark roast coffees.

Their small batch roasting is done by sight, sound and smell of the beans.  No timers here, just the natural ability of knowing the beans and knowing when they have been roasted to their desired level of flavor.
While at Darrin's I sampled the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.  This was a light to medium bodied coffee with some chocolate undertones.  I also have been drinking their Melange at home which is a combination of light, medium and dark beans after they have been roasted.  I really enjoy this coffee as a breakfast drink.
Darrin's coffee can be purchased at the shop in Zionsville, the Zionsville Farmers Market, Carmel Whole Foods and online.  Darrin's also is now offering K-Cups for those with Keurigs to brew your favorite roast at home.  Up next for Darrin's they are opening a new shop in West Clay.  And you can always check out all the latest news by following their facebook and instragram accounts.

Thanks to Darrin's Coffee for hosting me in their store and allowing me to sample their coffee.
