Peanut Butter and Chocolate do not last long around this house. And this recipe is no exception. Imagine a layer of peanut butter and graham crackers as rich and smooth as fudge, topped with chocolate and served chilled..... that's what this dessert taste like. And I have to warn you the taste is additive and hard to stop eating after just one bar. So make and serve with caution.... Peanut Butter Ice Box Bars.
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1.) Lightly spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray.
2.) In a small saucepan melt peanut butter and butter over low heat; stirring to combine.
3.) Add vanilla, powdered sugar and graham cracker crumbs, and mix well.
4.) Press mixture into pan.
5.) Melt chocolate chips in a small sauce pan over medium heat until just melted.
6.) Pour chocolate over the peanut butter mixture and smooth out until completely covered.
7.) Refrigerate for 1 1/2 hours before serving.
8.) Keep cold and serve cold.
