Crock Pot Pizza Dip

While the Big Game (Super Bowl XLVIII) is right around the corner, this is a fun and easy dip to make in your crock pot any time of year and uses ingredients similar to those found in pizza.  This recipe was adapted from Gooseberry Patch's Slow Cooking All Year Round Cookbook.  I made a few tweaks to the recipe to suit our tastes and I think you'll find this makes for a great appetizer.  Your guests will be scraping the bottom of the pot to get every last bit of it. So it goes without saying... but I'll put it in writing on this blog post anyway...if you like pizza then you'll love this Pizza Dip.

Ingredients:
1 cup pepperoni diced
1 (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
3/4 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cup pizza sauce
2 T. dried oregano
1 tsp. garlic powder
Serve with bite sized pieces of Italian bread or tortilla chips.
Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a small crock pot.
2. Cover and cook or low setting for 2 hours, stirring occasionally until dip in smooth.
3. Serve Warm.
Feeds 8-10.
