And, just in case you haven't popped by for awhile, you should know we're poppin' up a lot of fun with this years Indiana State Fair theme.... The Year of Popcorn. We've made Popcorn hair bows and sewed a Popcorn skirt, and today we are sharing a Popcorn recipe. Most Popcorn is grown in the Midwest and the state of Indiana ranks 2nd in popcorn production (behind Nebraska). But it is important to note that Popcorn it is different than sweet corn (what you and I eat off the ear) or field corn (most of the corn you see growing in fields that is used primarily for animal feed). Whether you need a snack, or are watching a movie popcorn is tasty treat for the whole family to enjoy.
Today I am sharing a recipe for Oreo flavored Popcorn. I have to give credit to Ott, E for suggesting this snack combination as he thought it would be fun to create. With some trial and error in my kitchen, I whipped up the perfect ration to makeIngredients: 4 cups popped plain popcorn, 12 double stuff oreos and 1/2 cup white chocolate chips.
