PB, Cranberry & White Chocolate Brownies

Peanut Butter is a staple in this house, thanks to Ott, E. So from time to time I use it in desserts.  But this dessert has a little bit of twist to it as I have paired the peanut butter with cranberries and white chocolate chips.  It may sound sketchy at first, but trust me you will be impressed by the flavor and how great it all taste together.  So without further ado here is my recipe for PB, Cranberry, White chocolate Brownies.

Ingredients:  1 cup peanut butter, 1/2 cup butter, softened, 2 cups brown sugar, 3 eggs, beaten, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 cup all purpose flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 cup dried cranberries, 1/2 cup white chocolate chips.
Directions: In a large bowl, blend together peanut butter and butter.  Beat in brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.  Blend in flour and salt and cranberries.  Spread into a greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Sprinkle with white chocolate chips.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
And in case you ever stumble upon this variety of peanut butter in the grocery store you should check it out as it inspired this recipe.  Planters Peanut Butter with berries.  You could easily use this as your peanut butter in this recipe and omit adding the additional cranberries.

What a lovely, lovely combination of ingredients. The cranberries would add such a lovely sharpness. I can just imagine how delicious these wonderful brownies would be with a cup of tea :)
