MacchiOTTo previews the Wicked Workshop at Indy's Childrens Museum

Are you looking for a fun family outing to get you in the Halloween spirit???  Well MacchiOTTo and I suggest checking out the Indy Children's Museum 49th annual Haunted House, as we had a chance to preview the "Wicked Workshop" and found it to be a fascinating exhibit that the whole family will enjoy.  The entire exhibit takes you through a witches workshop and is cute, fun, scary, creepy and creative for your senses to enjoy.  And the great thing about this haunted house is there are 2 ways to go through it based on your children's ages and scare level preferences; Lights On hours (which MacchiOTTo and I went through; is very child friendly, and Frightening Hours for those older children who enjoy a good scare.  Here are some photos I took inside the exhibit as some of the details were really exquisite.
Above the witches shoe closet, and below is the broom making room.

Masks on display and the witches kitchen pantry contain the ingredients for their evil spells.

As you can see when the lights are off the black lights will make many of the displays look really cool.

As you can see MacchiOTTo was not scared in the least and enjoyed looking around at the lights and displays from the safety of her stroller seat.

Admission to the Wicked Workshop is $7.00 (but discounted tickets can be purchased at Marsh Grocery Stores)  The Workshop is open from October 13-31st.  Times of Light on hours vs. Frightening hours can be found here

Please note the Children's Museum did invite me to a free preview of the wicked workshop, but the photos and opinions within this blog post are my own.

I am hoping may we can get down there this year; it's been a while, but it kind of depends on if we can get done with harvest. Weather is not helping! Can't believe I want it to quit raining, but we need a good week to finish up two corn and two bean fields. Fun times.
