Ball FreshTech Jam & Jelly Maker Review & a Give-a-way

With a new baby in the house my canning this season has been all about whats quick and easiest to put up.  And just when I thought there wouldn't be any chance for me to make jelly or jam along came the Ball FreshTECH Jam & Jelly Maker.  This machine allowed me to put up 10 half pints of jelly in a little over an hour.  (And during that time period I was still able to change a diaper, throw some clothes in the wash, read MacchiOTTo a story, answer the phone and do up some dishes and all while the Ball FreshTECH Jam and Jelly Maker did all the work.)
Now you may be asking how I was able to do so much when jam and jelly making takes constant stirring over a hot stove.... that's whats so great about this Jam and Jelly Maker.... it does all the stirring and heating for you.  The machine comes with a recipe book, with formulations that are specifically designed to be made with ease in this machine.  I selected the apply jelly recipe to try and with 4 simple ingredients: apple juice, fruit pectin, sugar and butter all I had to do was pour them into the machine, turn it on and it did all the heating and stirring.  I could walk away and come back to freshly made jam.
It's like having a magical jam fairy in your kitchen doing all the work for you.
The Ball FreshTECH jam & jelly maker has two settings and is easy to use.  There is a digital timer on the machine so you knew exactly how much time was left, so you can go do other things.
I put the jelly in jars and processed in a boiling water bath.  Each recipe makes 5 half pints, and I found the jelly to be quite tasty and enjoyable.

As I mentioned there is a recipe book that comes with the maker and contains recipes for Low and Reduced sugar recipes along with regular sugar levels.  Currently the recipes you can make in this machine include: Apple Jelly, Berry Jam, Grape Jelly, Peach Jam, Pear Jam, Pepper Jelly, Plum Jam, Pomegranate Jelly, Strawberry Jam and Sweet Cherry Jam.

Now.... here comes the fun part...... the giveaway!!!  Ball is looking for input from you, my readers, in developing some new recipes for the Jam & Jelly Maker. Ball will compile the suggestions that you all make here in the comments on my blog and run a poll on their Facebook page.  Based on the ideas listed here they will formulate new recipes for the Ball® FreshTECH Automatic Jam & Jelly Maker.  So why not list your ideas and be entered in this fabulous Jamming prize pack giveaway.

I have pumpkins every where and was looking for pumpkin butter canning recipes. I've used a couple with lemon juice to lower the pH but they seem more like lemonade than pumpkin. Can you add something else that compliments the pumpkin and the season AND lowers the pH so you can can it.
