The three ingredients are..... lemon cake mix, cool whip and one egg. How simple and easy is that?!?! Mix one bag of lemon cake mix with a tub of cool whip, and then add one egg. (Psst.... I'm also not one to eat the batter or dough while baking, but if you want to taste something incredibly good try a spoonful of just the cake mix and cool whip mixed together. Trust me.. you'll be glad you did. Ummm.... just thinking about it makes me want to make this again.)
Anyway, back to the recipe.... Pour your batter into your donut pan and bake at 425 degrees for 4-5 minutes. Take out of oven and let sit in pan for another 5 minutes, then remove to a cooling rack.
Optional: Drop donut in a bowl of powdered sugar to coat. Eat and enjoy. (And don't forget to taste that batter mix I told you about.)

What I love more than a donut made in my donut pan is a donut with only 3 ingredients!!!! Lemon is my favorite flavor!

What a gorgeous treat! I can't get over that there are only 3 ingredients - fantastic!
Too cute! You're making me really want a donut pan!
I LOVE anything with a lemony flavor to it; it's always so fresh! I'm kicking myself for not having any lemon ice cream at the State Fair! :-( Couldn't get it all in with one trip! Good to see you and Little C. She is precious!
I make these every year for Christmas--only flattened as a cookie. They can be made with any flavor of cake mix, but citrus cake mixes turn out the best. Orange is really good, too.
