headband accessories for MacchiOTTo

I have a confession to make.... I like things to match.... if my purse and shoe obsession didn't make that point clear already, allow me to explain. I'm driven to find things in the exact shade or pattern.  Perhaps its OCD, perhaps its a quirk, but regardless each day when I dress MacchiOTTo I want her to match as well. And while she can't wear shoes or carry a purse just yet, the next best thing are headbands and barrettes. So to help her get all coordinated I have made her a few headbands to match some of her dresses exactly.
I'll be the first to admit, I'm not good at sewing.  In fact I'm downright awkward with a needle and thread, however even I could attach some simple buttons and flowers to a headband so if I can do it, you can do it.

The first one I took ribbon and made a bow by twisting the ends in a star like pattern.
I then sew three buttons to the center of that bow.
Attached the entire bow to another piece of ribbon, big enough to go around her head and then sew some additional buttons on the side of the bow.  Now she has a headband to match her black and white poka dot dress.
Next I found these headbands 3 for $1 at a Dollar Store, and thought I could dress them up a little more so at the craft store I found some fabric flowers and buttons to add to them.
Here is one example of how I cluster the buttons and flowers together.
And here is another example of how I spread them out along the headband.
And here is my little model showing off her new headband.
