Chocolate Almond Cake Roll

I received this package in the mail from Duncan Hines with samples of their frosting creations.  This is a new product for the company where they sell a tub of frosting and then different flavor packets to mix into the icing to change the color and taste.  Simply pour in the flavor packet, stir and frost.  The two flavors they sent me to try were chocolate almond and strawberry shortcake.
So I decided to use the Chocolate Almond icing and make a Chocolate Almond Cake Roll. I used your traditional Chocolate Cake Roll Recipe, lined the bottom of the cake pan with wax paper, and I sprinkled some slivered almonds on top of the batter before placing it in the oven.

Once done baking I turned the cake upside down on a towel covered in baking cocoa and the pulled the wax paper off the bottom of the cake.
I then rolled cake up in a towel and placed in on a cooling rack until room temperature.
While it cooled I mixed up the frosting by making a hole in the center of the tub and pouring the flavor packet in.  I then stirred it up making sure it was mixed completely throughout.

I unrolled the cake and iced it with the Duncan Hines chocolate almond frosting.
I then rolled the cake back up.  And moved it to a serving plate.
Overall this Duncan Hines product was easy to use and ended up having great flavor.  Ott, E really likes it and has been eating about two slices a day so this cake is going to go quick.
