Ingredients: 1 cup steel cut oatmeal, 1 T. Cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. nutmeg, 2 1/2 cups milk, 2 cups water. (Optional ingredients to suit your tastes; 1 appled sliced, 1/2 cup raisins, 1/2 cup pecans, 1/2 cup cranberries)
Directions: Place ingredients in a greased crock pot. Set to low. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours. Serves: 6
Once I dished myself up a bowl, I added a little bit of brown sugar to the bowl and it really made the cinnamon and apple flavors pop.
