Asian Zing Duck Wings

Like most guys Ott, E likes to eat wings; and I've been known to make some in the crock pot on game days for him to enjoy. But, the other day I thought I would mix things up and ordered some duck wings from Maple Leaf Farms website. Within a couple of days a package of 16 wings showed up on my door. So I found a recipe to pair with them for an Asian Zing Sauce. The flavors in this sauce really paired nicely with the bold flavor of the duck wing.  And duck wings are a little bigger than chicken wings so we get more meat off of them.  (Bonus!)
Ingredients:  16 Wings, 2 tsp. Corn Starch, 4 tsp. vinegar, 1/2 cup corn syrup, 1/4 cup chili-garlic sauce, 1 T. soy sauce, 1 tsp. lemon juice, 1/4 tsp. ground ginger, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. garlic, minced.
Directions: In a small bowl dissolve cornstarch in vinegar.  In a separate, large bowl, combine all other ingredients, then add vinegar mixture.

On a greased baking tray spread out wings and bake in oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.  (Please note: These wings were already pre-cooked.)
Add cooked wings to sauce and coat thoroughly.  Tip: I used a bowl with a lid, so I could shake the bowl with the wings to get them coated.)
Serve and enjoy.  Ott, E really liked the flavor of this wing sauce (pssst.... it's similar to what they serve at BW3's) as it has a flavor that will tickle your taste buds but isn't overly spicy.

What a great recipe - I love the garlic and ginger - yum! I've never thought of using duck wings - they would make a lovely change from chicken, especially with those wonderful spices. Thank you for sharing them with the Hearth and Soul hop.
