Canning week 2011: Winners

Whew.... What a week it has been?!?!?!  Like any party when it's over there lots of cleaning up to do.  But there is still one thing we need to do......  Announce the winners!!!!!
Kate from the Hip Girls Guide to Homemaking was the judge of our Canning Week Blog Party Linky.  She had quite a few entries to look through but after some deliberation made her decision.  The winner of the Canning Week Blog Party Linky is....
Jami from An Oregon Cottage.

Kate had this to say about the winning post.
"I like the ingredients used and that she offered up a no-sugar variation; I also found her thorough approach to the process inviting and easily understandable to newbie canners. I especially loved how she included her gift basket ideas (and a note to people who might receive them to "kindly act real surprised")."

Jami will win a copy of Kate's book The Hip Girls Guide to Homemaking.  Congratulations to Jami!!!
And although there are no prizes for this she did want me to be sure and mention who she thought should receive Honorable Mentions:

-The Lunch Lady's Nectarines in Organic Syrup for her ingenuity with the spiced no-added-sugar syrup

-Laura @Cubits Organic Living's Really Really Dill Pickles for her great photography

-Schnieder Peeps Wild Grape Jelly for her hilarious kid-involved commentary

-This Dame Cooks' Quick Pickled Green Beans for the fact that she introduced me to this pickle history

-Pinke Post's Easy steps on how to can cherries for her thorough photo tutorial

To see who won the all the prizes for our giveaways please head over to Jen's blog From Mess Hall to Bistro to check those out.

Big Thanks to all of our sponsors for this week: Punk Domestic, Pacific Pectin, Tattler Rreusable Canning Lids and Ball.  And Thanks to all of you for stopping by and partying with us this week.  We hope you found some inspiration, encouragment and some tips to can for yourselves!!
