this recipe for zucchini bread machine mix will hit the spOTT

One of the things Ott, E and I couldn't wait to buy with gift cards was a bread machine.  We love (not like) LOVE our bread machine.  It came with a recipe book, so I've only bought a box mix for it once, other wise I pour in all the ingredients in by hand.  I enjoy making bread, but I'm not a fan of kneading and this machine does that for you.
So since I still have lots of zucchini from our garden, I made a zucchini bread.
Ingredients:
 1/2 cup buttermilk
1 T. oil
1/2 cup grated zucchini
2 T. chopped onion
1/4 cup red pepper\
2 T. grated Romano cheese
2 T. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. lemon pepper
1/2 cup oatmeal
2 1/2 cups bread flour
1 pkg. active dry yeast

Place ingredients in pan on order listed.  Select basic or white bread cycle with medium crust.  Remove when finished.  Cool.  Yield 1 1/2 lb. loaf.

Sure does look good never thought about making zucchini bread in the bread machine. My ML used to make zucchini bread all the time even for pitch-ins.

I'm thinking that I'd love a bread machine too. Maybe it would save me some.

I've never had zucchini bread before. I would love to try it!

OH my gosh. I just tried some sweet zucchini bread and some lemon zucchini cookies. Took them to market...value-added products you know. I'll have to try this yeasty one while I am picking beans tonight! The Master of the Realm(DH) has been keeping me busy...as has the jungle outside. Now I have to look at your chocolate chip zucchini cake.

I love my bread machine too. In fact, I used up the last of my bread flour making sourdough english muffin bread this weekend. Good thing I stocked up again yesterday, because this recipe is calling to me. I've never seen a savory yeast zucchini bread before. Looks yummy!
