plOTTing and planting: Garden Update

Well I thought for this weeks edition of "plOTTing and planting" I would give an update on our garden as it is in full bloom right now
The zucchini is blooming.

The egg plant is blooming!

We have a baby eggplant that has started.  I can't wait to harvest it and make Egg Plant Parmesan with it.

The tomato plants are blooming.

The Green Beans are blooming.

The potatoes are still blooming a month after they started.

And the onions are ready to harvest.

Look at all those flowers on everything. I get so excited when I see the flowers because I know veggies will soon follow. I wish my zucchini would do something. My first set died. I love the flowers on the eggplant. They are beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Vegetable blooms are as pretty as other flowers, plus, you get something to eat from them if the critters don't get to them first. Nice photos!

I'm so jealous. I've given up on the idea of a garden this year. I never got it in, and I'm fairly certain it's too late. :(

don't you just love eating foods that you grow?! I just have pumpkin, tomatoes and zucchini and I'm really looking forward to seeing what I get. It's all in containers on my deck.... probably not the best conditions, but the best I have to offer this year.
